Abstract:
Ferroptosis is a type of regulated cell death (RCD) dependent on iron and reactive oxygen species, which is mainly characterized by the accumulation of intracellular lipid peroxides and is different from apoptosis, necrosis and autophagy. It has been found that iron death is closely related to tumor cells, and the therapeutic effect of therapeutic drugs on tumors can be improved by inducing iron death in tumor cells. In this paper, we summarize the mechanism of iron death and the latest progress of iron death and tumor-related studies, with the aim of providing reference for further understanding of the mechanism between iron death and tumors, and providing new ideas and targets for the treatment of related diseases.
