Abstract: [Abstract]Objective: The relationship between the incidence of anxiety and depression and platelet-related parameters in peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients and the diagnostic efficacy of platelet-related parameters on anxiety and depression in PD patients were analyzed. Methods: From September 2022 to February 2023, 245 PD patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University were selected, and the anxiety and depression of patients were evaluated by the generalized anxiety screening scale GAD-7 (7-time Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale) and the depression self-rating scale PHQ-9 (Patient Heslth Questionnaire--9). Taking platelets (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW) as the main observation variables, patient age, gender, education, marital status, working status, dialysis age, body mass index (BMI), blood urea nitrogen, BUN), creatinine (Cr), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) were covariates and statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS 26.0. Results: In this study, the incidence of anxiety and depression in PD patients was 15.9% and depression was 38.0%. After grouping, there were significant differences between MPV, PDW and dialysis age between the two groups (P<0.05), and the correlation analysis showed that the above differences were significantly correlated with anxiety and depression in PD patients, and binary logistic regression suggested that MPV and PDW were independent risk factors for anxiety and depression in PD patients, and the receiver operator characteristic curve, ROC) suggested MPV anxiety (AUC=0.750), MPV depression (AUC=0.80), PDW anxiety (AUC=0.732), and PDW depression (AUC=0.780).. Conclusion: MPV and PDW have high diagnostic efficacy in the diagnosis of anxiety and depression associated with PD, and can be used as objective reference indicators for patients with PD with anxiety and depression.
