Abstract： ［Purposes］This paper aims to investigate the involvement of high-level scientists in the editorial boards of scientific journals, organize the structure of these editorial boards, and analyze the significant role they play from the scientists´ perspective. It objectively presents the current state of scientists´ participation in the development of scientific journals. ［Methods］We investigated the data of high-level scientists through online research, analyzed the composition and size of the editorial boards of the representative scientific journals in China, and explored the current situation of scientists´ participation in the construction of scientific journals through questionnaires and interviews. ［Findings］The number and proportion of high-level scientists serving as editorial board members of scientific journals are related to the quality of the journals, and the size of the editorial board is related to the influence of the journals. The roles played by editorial board members in journals are more consistent with the expectations of the journal´s editors. However, there are discrepancies in certain aspects. ［Conclusions］The number and proportion of high-level scientists in editorial boards are related to the quality of scientific journals. While the role played by scientists as editorial board members basically meets the expectations of editors, the contribution of scientists serving on editorial boards of scientific journals still requires systematic and multidimensional evaluation.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] This paper analyzes the themes of papers published in Information Processing and Management from 2000 to 2020, in order to know the thematic focus and evolution trends of IPM, and provide references for the development and related research of computer and information science. [Method/process] Firstly, based on 1852 research papers in the full-text database of ScienceDirect, this paper counted and visualized the titles, abstracts and keywords of the papers to classify the thematic categories. Then, this paper analyzed the research themes of each category systematically. At last, it compared the thematic focus in different periods and analyzed thematic evolution trends. [Result/conclusion] IPM mainly focuses on three themes of information retrieval, text analysis and user research, and presented evolution characteristics in general: information retrieval as the core theme, transform from text and information analysis to multimedia and knowledge analysis, and in-depth analysis and mining of user sentiments.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] The automatic review of the quality of unpublished academic papers has not yet formed a unified index system, so this article explores and establishes a set of leading, scientific and objective index system for automatic review to improve the efficiency.[Method/process] From the perspective of knowledge production, combined with the factors of scientific knowledge production, the index system of academic paper quality for automatic review whose quantitative methods and techniques are briefly introduced, is constructed from seven aspects of author, reference, fund project support, selection of topics, innovation, scientificity and expression form. The principal component analysis method is used to determine the weight and the ranking of various automatic review indexes.[Result/conclusion] The results show that the weight value of the scientificity and innovation of a paper are high. The readability, length of the abstract and the quality and newness of the journal in which the references are published are also important factors. The results can provide references for the quantitative treatment of the follow-up automatic review indexes.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] This paper explores the way to evaluate application effect of mobile App under the new media environment, and constructs mobile App evaluation system. [Method/process] This paper constructed App evaluation index system for mobile English learning from three dimensions of "content resources, human machine interaction and user experience", and used the methods of AHP and bisection to determine index weight. Then, it selected eight representative English learning Apps to make demonstrational analysis.[Result/conclusion] The mobile App evaluation index system has a certain application value, which can effectively evaluate the App. Through the analysis of App evaluation, we provide some suggestions for the development and construction of App based on content, technology and user experience.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] This paper studies the core elements of knowledge innovation in research teams under data intensive research environment, and proposes a data capability model for knowledge innovation of research teams, identifying the ability structure in the ability factors. [Method/process] Through literature review, this paper summarizes the research dimensions of knowledge innovation capability of scientific research teams in traditional environment, analyzes the scientific research environment formed by the rapid development of science in the data intensive environment, sketchs 6 dimensions of the research team in the new environment, and then constructs a data capability model to promote the knowledge innovation.[Result/conclusion] The research team needs to have data awareness, data retrieval and data discovery capability, data organization, integration and management capability, data description and storage capability, knowledge and rules analysis from the data capability, data analysis and evaluation capability. These capabilities promote knowledge innovation in research teams in the form of stimulating knowledge discovery, knowledge management, knowledge integration, knowledge sharing and knowledge evaluation.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] As the "gatekeeper" of scholarly journals, the peer review has been criticized for lacking the transparency quality assurance. The open peer review, to some extent, could overcome the limitation and live up to the demands of open science and giving reviewers credit. Thus, it is critical for journals to investigate the attitudes of researchers towards the open peer review before it is implemented.[Method/process]Based on the literature review, we firstly defined the concept, the pros and cons of the open peer review; then, we conducted an online survey focusing on the information disclosure willingness during the open review process of respondents, and analyzed the collected data.[Result/conclusion]304 valid questionnaires from China have been received. All respondents have authored papers and 70% of them have peer review experience, including 40% have review experience for international journals. The result indicates that about half (50.33%) of the Chinese researchers maintain a positive attitude towards the open peer review, and the degree of acceptance varies at different stages of the open peer review process. While the discipline of researchers affects their attitudes towards the open peer review, the peer review experience for international journals makes little difference on the results. The results and analysis in this study could serve as a reference for Chinese journals to put the open peer review into practice.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] Innovation is the key factor of academic paper evaluation. Based on the knowledge element theory and machine learning theory and algorithm, this paper studies how to intelligently evaluate the innovation of academic papers from the content of paper.[Method/process] Firstly, we constructed 4 knowledge element ontologies of academic papers including ‘research problem ontology’, ‘theory ontology’, ‘method ontology’ and ‘conclusion ontology’, and proposed the model of innovation evaluation. Secondly, we put forward the rules of knowledge element extraction. Word2vec and naive Bayes were used to classify the innovation of theories and methods of academic papers, and SVM model was used to build the rule base of knowledge element extraction. At last, on the basis of the construction of knowledge Meta base of academic papers, we proposed the basic methods of intelligent evaluation of research questions, theories, methods and conclusions of academic papers. We also constructed the process of intelligent evaluation of innovation of academic papers.[Result/conclusion] The feasibility of the methods is verified by the experiment and could provide the references for the realization of intelligently evaluation of academic paper.
